The folks at Digital Foundry have put Elden Ring through its paces on PS5 and PS4, and has come up with some interesting facts in regards to the game’s frame rate performance. While the PS5 version of FromSoftware’s fantasy epic offers two modes to choose from – Quality and Performance – neither one actually provides a reliably stable frame rate. Performance Mode is the best of the bunch, says DF, as the drops in frame rate aren’t as noticeable. However, when testing the PS4 version on the PS5 via the console’s backwards compatibility feature, Elden Ring is able to provide a “smooth 60FPS.” Obviously there’s a drop in terms of visual quality as this is the PS4 version, but if you want a stable frame rate, this is apparently the way to go.Related Content – Sony PS5 Complete Guide – Everything Explained On PlayStation 5 For New UsersElden Ring is out today for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.[Source – Eurogamer]
