How do you sign up for the Elden Ring Nightreign beta? The Lands Between beckons us once more for a standalone co-op adventure that introduces a roguelike loop into FromSoftware’s formula. Playtests are the perfect opportunity to get early access and discover if a dedicated multiplayer version of this landmark RPG is for you.
If you can’t wait for the Nightreign release date, you’re in luck – the first Elden Ring Nightreign closed beta is on its way. Given FromSoftware’s track record with beta periods, this might be your only chance to play the soulslike game ahead of launch. Thankfully, the Nightreign network test sign-up process is straightforward, so let us help you secure your participation.
Elden Ring Nightreign beta start date
The Elden Ring Nightreign beta test runs from Friday, February 14 to Monday, February 17, 2025.
This console-only network test is Nightreign’s first closed beta, allowing selected participants to “play a portion of the game” while FromSoftware stress tests its online network.
Like Elden Ring’s network test, the Nightreign beta is divided into five three-hour sessions across its four-day period.
The Nightreign beta session times are as follows:
- Friday, February 14: 3am-6am PT/ 6am-9am ET / 11am-2pm GMT / 12pm-3pm CET / 10pm-1am AEDT
- Saturday, February 15: 7pm-10pm PT / 10pm-1am ET / 4am-7am / 3am-6am GMT / 4am-7am CET / 2pm-5pm AEDT
- Sunday, February 16: 11am-2pm PT / 2pm-5pm ET / 7pm-10pm GMT / 8pm-11pm CET / 6am-9am AEDT
- Sunday, February 16: 3am-6am PT / 6am-9am ET / 11am-2pm GMT / 12pm-3pm CET / 10pm-1am AEDT

How to sign up for the Elden Ring Nightreign beta
You can opt into the Nightreign network test by registering on the official site from Friday, January 10, 2025. Registration is open until Monday, January 20, 2025.
Be aware that you must create a Bandai Namco account before you can sign up for the Nightreign network test. Given the sheer amount of player interest, you might encounter a site error during the registration process. If this occurs, simply try again later.
Nevertheless, we recommend signing up as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Elden Ring beta participants received their invitations only a few days before it began, and we expect this same schedule for the Nightreign network test. Keep an eye on your inbox and check your spam folder regularly in the following weeks.
This beta is exclusive to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, so don’t sign up if you plan to play it on PC or last-gen consoles. However, this is the only major restriction. It does not require PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass Core, and you don’t need Elden Ring or Shadow of the Erdtree DLC to access it.
Now that you’re all signed up for the Nightreign network test, download the best Elden Ring mods for an early taste of seamless Elden Ring co-op before Nightreign arrives.
