EA’s new PGA Tour game, the first since 2015’s Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, has been delayed by a full year and will now launch sometime in spring 2023. EA Sports PGA Tour was first announced early last year and was later given a spring 2022 release window. However, in November 2021, EA said it was “shifting the launch date” of its new golf sim, and now it’s confirmed we will see the game sometime in spring 2023. No reasons for the delay have been given in EA’s latest announcement, nor were they stated at the time back in November. EA has released a few new details about the game, though, saying it will be the “exclusive home of all four of golf’s major championships.” EA Sports PGA Tour “will be the only place golf fans can play all four major championships including the Masters Tournament, PGA Championship, U.S. Open Championship, and The Open Championship.” You will be able to “build your own legendary career” and compete in The Players Championship, the FedExCup Playoffs, and The Amundi Evian Championship. The game also uses EA’s Frostbite engine, so you will be able to experience all the golfing action in “high-fidelity” with “ultra-realistic visuals that will make fans feel like they are right in the middle of the action on some of the most iconic courses in the world.”EA Sports PGA Tour is now excepted sometime in spring 2023.Are you disappointed with the delay?
