Dying Light 2: Stay Human’s latest update is available today and adds New Game+ mode, fresh challenges, an increased spawn rate for special infected, and more, as well as potentially fixing the currently discontinued achievement. The latest update to hit Dying Light 2 has added a New Game+ mode, including 30 new inhibitors, which means that both the Fit as a Fiddle and Ironheart achievements can be unlocked on one character, increased the nighttime spawn rate of special infected like the Volatiles and Banshees, and more. Looking at the patch notes, it looks like this whopping 17.36GB update also fixes the currently discontinued Fit as a Fiddle achievement.Dying 2 Know: At the Fish Eye Update 1.3.0 overviewAs was detailed in Techland’s latest D2K: At the Fish Eye, the update adds New Game+, which allows you to experience the story once again with your original character. All of the equipment you’ve found and skills you’ve unlocked will carry over with you to the new mode, and you’ll be given the opportunity to make wildly different choices if you so wish. Techland producer Julia Szynkaruk noted, though, that you will need to re-unlock the Nightrunner Tools as you naturally progress through the game’s story, as the team didn’t want to “break the flow of the game.” Co-op sounds like it’ll be acting much the same as it does now, so you’ll still be able to play with your mates, whether they’re on NG+ or not.For players that are working through the Dying Light 2: Stay Human achievements — which would be most of you as ‘Fit as a Fiddle’ has been discontinued for a while — only one character will be needed to gain the completion. Techland has added 30 new inhibitors for us to find, which will allow us to max out both Health and Stamina on one character. The inhibitor crates haven’t just been added willy nilly, though, so expect to have to complete various puzzles and whatnot to find them, and they can only be found in NG+.Additionally, special infected spawn rates have been increased even further than they were in the last update, so while there might be an additional risk to your adventures due to the additional Volatiles and Banshees mooching around, there are also additional chances of coming across high-quality loot, such as the brand-new Legendary tier items. New parkour challenges can also be found, but Techland has increased their difficulty by adding platinum medals. You can see the full patch notes for the fixes and additions added in this 17.36GB update on the Techland website, which covers a wide variety of improvements to many of the gameplay elements like co-op, quest fixes, and the addition of a FOV slider for players on Xbox Series X. It also looks like the update fixes the currently discontinued Fit as a Fiddle achievement. The patch notes state that “completed achievements are correctly awarded upon completion. This works for the achievements that were obtained before the update as well.” With any luck, some of you should have the achievement unlock retroactively upon loading up the game today.
