Competitive Fortnite season is finally here and DreamHack’s back with another $200K USD tournament.

It feels like an eternity since FNCS Chapter 2 – Season 7 concluded, where Epic Games dealt $3M USD to finalists worldwide. The competitive scene has turned the page to Chapter 2 – Season 8, where millions of dollars will be up for grabs over the next few months.

A new season of Fortnite Battle Royale means the return of DreamHack. Since early 2020, the Swedish production company has supported the Fortnite scene in infinitely valuable ways. From the initial DreamHack Open Solos event to DreamHack Open Duos and, more recently, the Trio Cash Cup Extra, this organization remains faithful to Fortnite players in two major regions.

In October, the DreamHack Duo Open returns with another $200K USD prize pool for the NA East and European regions. ESTNN has all of the information you need to know before it commences in just over a week.

DreamHack Open Format & Schedule

Duos remain the format in Fortnite Season 8 for the DreamHack Open. That means teams of two can compete in the tournament. Like last season, any region can participate, but it’s worth noting that the two competitions occur on European and NA East servers. Every heat in each area is open to players of all Arena Mode ranks.

The top 500 duos in each heat will advance to the Semi-Finals. Then, the top 50 in the Semi-Finals will secure a spot in the Finals to compete for the $200K USD prize pool.
