Some entities in Doors just take you out, some just scare you and then leave you alone, and a few like to order you around with terrible consequences for not listening. Our Doors Halt entity guide is about one of the bossier monsters out there, and how to deal with an encounter in a way that should get you out the other side without a scratch.
Doors is available to play now on Roblox. We’ve also got a Doors Figure entity guide for another of the nastier monsters lurking around.
Doors Halt Entity Guide
Stop right there, if you want to find out about Halt.
About Halt
Halt is one of the rarer entities in Doors. You may go through a whole run without encountering Halt once, though you are likely to run into it at least once. Halt has a special room all to itself, resembling an abandoned diving room with lots of tables and crates. The entity manifests as a blue ghostly figure that floats toward the player. When approaching it will flash a blue ↺ on screen, along with the message ‘TURN AROUND’. If the player moves in the opposite direction away from it, it will teleport in front of them in the direction they were moving, and flash the warning again. If Halt gets close enough to you, it will hit for a lot of damage.
How To Handle Halt
There are two different ways to win a Halt encounter. One is the way the game probably intended, the other is the easier way.
- The Intended Way – When the warning flashes, turn around and walk in the other direction. When it flashes again, turn around again. Keep doing this until you reach the exit.
- The Easier Way – When the warning flashes, start walking backwards. When it flashes again, walk forwards again. This keeps you away from Halt but can make it easier if all the change of direction is confusing you, as you’ll always be facing in the direction of the exit.
Halt is great at throwing you off your game, but we’ve got some tips to keep in mind when you need to face it that should help you along.
- Keep an eye on the lights. The lights will flicker before you reach Halt’s Dining Room, this is similar to the flicker that comes before Rush or Ambush, but lasts a lot longer. It also doesn’t spawn Rush or Ambush, so if neither show up you know Halt is coming next, so take time to prepare yourself.
- Don’t worry about your teammates. Halt is not a team game. All other players will disappear from your perspective when you’re in the Dining Room, so don’t bother looking for others.
- Watch out for clutter. As of the latest update to Halt, it spawns in a large room with lots of bits of furniture, be careful not to get trapped and boxed in by this so you can’t retreat when you need to.
