Doors Floor 2 Grumble
A Grumble is a type of entity in Doors, formally introduced on Floor 2 in The Mines. It looks similar to another familiar entity from Floor 1, called Screech, yet it has more of a fleshy colour. Another key difference is that Grumble has 8 legs and multiple eyes, whereas Screech has 6 legs and 2 eyes.
Aside from the similarities to Floor 1 Screech, Grumble seems to be an older version of the Giggle entity, which is a new addition to the game with the Floor 2 update.
How to Counter a Grumble
Grumbles tend to reside in The Nest, which is permanently located in Door 150, one of the more difficult levels on Floor 2. Whilst you wander around Door 150, 5 Grumbles are stalking the tunnels too.
To counter a Grumble, you need to stay out of its sight at all times. If it spots you, it laughs creepily and then chases you around the map. You also need to be as quiet as possible, as Grumbles have a decent sense of hearing. Utilising glowsticks as a distraction when traversing Door 150 is a good method of keeping out of the way!
During a chase, try to hide around a corner so that it loses you. If it can’t see you anymore, the chase stops. Coming into contact with a Grumble directly deals 55 DMG and ragdolls you. If you have a Crucifix, make sure to use it against the entity, though it only stuns them for a measly few seconds. Before you do this, ensure that you have an escape route.
Who is the Queen Grumble?
As you can probably guess from her name, she is the Queen of all Grumbles and the leader of The Nest. She pops up a few times here and there, and the only way to differentiate her from a standard Grumble is the scar that goes down her forehead.
Her speed is much faster than a normal Grumble, so be careful when in a chase with her. It’s not an easy feat to get out of her sight, so utilising any items you have as a distraction or to stun her is the best port of call.
