The Utah Jazz announced that guard Donovan Mitchell is officially questionable for Game 6 against the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Utah Jazz entered the NBA Playoffs as the top-seed in the Western Conference, but find themselves one loss away from being bounced from the second-round. Friday night presents itself as a win-or-go home situation for the Jazz, as they are down 3-2 to the Los Angeles Clippers. But will their star player be able to take the court for the all-important game?

On Thursday, the Jazz announced that guard Donovan Mitchell is questionable for Game 6 due to right ankle soreness.

Jazz: Donovan Mitchell listed as questionable for Game 6 vs. Clippers

The Jazz have not had the greatest of lucky when it comes to the health of their starting guards. Mike Conley has not played a single game in the Western Conference Semifinals due to a hamstring injury, and he is listed as questionable for Game 6.

Mitchell’Jazzs right ankle has been far from healthy, as he missed the tail end of the regular-season after spraining it. Additionally, he exited Game 3 in the fourth quarter and was spotted with his right foot wrapped in ice at the final buzzer.

The Jazz star suited up for Game 5 on Wednesday night, where he tallied 21 points (6-for-19 from field, 4-for-14 from three-point line), five rebounds, five assists, two turnovers and one steal in the 119-111 loss. Through nine playoff games, Mitchell is averaging 31.6 points, 5.1 assists and 3.7 rebounds while shooting 44.7-percent from the field and 41.0-percent from the three-point line.

Jazz fans should get a better feel if Mitchell will suit up leading up to tipoff on Friday night. On the other side, the Clippers will be without star Kawhi Leonard due to a right knee sprain. The goal is simple for the Jazz — win and force a Game 7.
