Does Stalker 2 have multiplayer? Exploring a hostile environment can be a huge detriment to your health, and The Zone is no exception. There seemingly isn’t a single being in the wasteland that doesn’t want to tear you limb from limb. A lot of the time, the only thing you can rely on is yourself, and the weapon in your hand. Multiplayer could change that, but does Stalker 2 have it?
We quite enjoyed Stalker 2, but one evident thing is that the survival game can be a lonely place sometimes. Sure, there are Stalker 2 missions to go on, creepy basements to explore, and abandoned cities to wander, but we can’t shake the feeling that bringing a friend or two along would lift the mood a little, if nothing else.
Does Stalker 2 have multiplayer?
Stalker 2 does not currently have a multiplayer mode. According to the official GSC Game World website, a multiplayer mode is in development and will be released sometime after launch, completely free of charge.
What form this multiplayer mode will take is still unknown. We believe that it could either be a competitive game mode in the vein of Escape From Tarkov’s arena mode or – and this would be our preference – GSC Game World could add co-op to Stalker 2. A co-op mode would allow us to bring our friends with us into The Zone and hopefully lessen the stress of taking on the toughest missions.
That’s everything we know about Stalker 2 multiplayer right now, but rest assured we’ll be adding to this guide as soon as solid information appears.
