Aladdin arrives in Disney Dreamlight Valley with its next free update on February 26. While there might not be new Disney Dreamlight Valley achievements, this update does give us another excuse to hop back into one of the best cozy games on Game Pass! We had the chance to talk with creative director Josh LaBelle about the upcoming Tales of Agrabah update.Tales of Agrabah update arrives in Disney Dreamlight Valley soonThe Tales of Agrabah update launches on February 26It revolves around Aladdin and JasmineGameloft has more planned for Disney Dreamlight Valley in 2025Disney Dreamlight Valley’s roadmap confirmed that the first update we’d get in 2025 would be an update revolving around Aladdin. Now, LaBelle is able to tell us more. “We’re very excited to kick off another year of beloved Disney characters with our Tales of Agrabah update, releasing February 26,” he says. “Players will venture to the Aladdin realm, where they’ll help deal with a magical sandstorm blanketing the Agrabah market. Players will cross rooftops with Aladdin, reunite him and Jasmine, and finally rescue the Magic Carpet.”Then, once Aladdin and Jasmine are back in the Valley, “there are exciting quests and rewards to uncover. The team outdid themselves with Jasmine and Aladdin’s house and friendship rewards. Plus, watch out for an opportunity to possess a magic carpet of your very own!”We’ve all been excited for Aladdin content to arrive in Disney Dreamlight Valley — LaBelle included. “Disney’s Aladdin was the first movie that I loved as a kid — my mom teases me about how I could recite every line by heart,” he says. “The team has done a wonderful job capturing the movie’s sense of magic and adventure. From your first moment meeting Aladdin and Jasmine to your first ride on a magic carpet, we hope this update gives you that feeling.”That’s not all, either — changes are also on the way for the Floating Islands, as the Tales of Agrabah update will bring four more floating island themes. “We’re excited to see how players use these to inspire even more creativity,” LaBelle says, adding that “This update will also bring an overhaul to cooking, offering a new search feature and new filters for quest meals and restaurant orders. Tiana from Disney’s Princess and the Frog will also have a surprise for players to help with some of those cooking Star Path duties.”Then, in 2025, Gameloft is “focusing on bringing more highly requested improvements to existing features. As we mentioned in our Showcase, we aim to keep improving our decorating features to better accompany our new, more robust rotation of furniture in the Valley.”On top of this, the devs are “exploring ways to improve our photo mode and make DreamSnaps a little easier — we love seeing what our players do with the tools they already have and we can’t wait to help our players unleash even more creativity.”LaBelle also shares a few hints for the future, saying, “As the year goes on, we’re exploring new social multiplayer features to make life in the Valley easier and more fun. We’re excited to hear your hopes and dreams for those features. Of course, players who prefer a cozy solo experience will never have to worry — that will always remain central to Dreamlight Valley.”The Tales of Agrabah update arrives later this month ahead of a roadmap of free content — what do you think?
