Dignitas announces LCS naming rights deal with QNTMPAY

North American organisation Dignitas has announced a naming rights partnership with digital bank QNTMPAY.

As a result of the four-year deal, Dignitas’s League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) team will be renamed Dignitas QNTMPAY. Moreover, the organisation’s League of Legends academy team will become DIG QNTM Academy.

VALORANT Mobile announced by Riot Games

League of Legends developer Riot Games has announced that VALORANT, the company’s first-person shooter, will be coming to mobile devices in the near future.

VALORANT Mobile has been revealed exactly one year after the title officially launched on PC. Information regarding the release date of VALORANT Mobile has not been announced.

Mason Mount appointed Combat Gaming brand ambassador

Chelsea Football Club and England midfielder Mason Mount has been appointed as an official brand ambassador of 38 Entertainment Group-owned organisation Combat Gaming.

In his new role, Mount will host Combat Gaming’s new gaming show series, which is set to air on Sky UK broadband during summer 2021. Mount will also compete in Combat Gaming’s celebrity gaming events, which pit well-known personalities against each other across different titles such as FIFA, Call of Duty, and Fortnite.

Team Liquid and Alienware launch Good in Gaming platform

Multi-regional esports organisation Team Liquid and computer hardware company Alienware have announced ‘Good in Gaming’, a new social platform tackling ‘education, empowerment and inclusive competition’.

According to the release, the new platform focuses on four pillars — grow, learn, get equipped, and compete — with each section having its own dedicated activations.

VSPN announces ‘multi-million’ funding round

Chinese esports solutions provider Versus Programming Network (VSPN) has announced a ‘multi-million’ Series B2 funding round from an investment fund managed by Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia (MSPEA).

According to the release, the investment will aid the expansion of VSPN’s overseas business and the development of the company’s esports content matrix, VSPN+. The amount raised during the Series B2 funding round has not been revealed.
