Football fields are usually host to exciting and thrilling battles. But with human players being involved…not souped up lethal tanks.
Well RoboGol changes all that. It’s a free-to-play 3D football shooter that blends soccer with tanks, and it’s available on mobile now.
Developed by DigiNet LLC, an Armenian startup, it offers a fresh twist on what has become a tired and repetitive genre.
It involves two teams of three going head to head in intense 5-minute matches, with victory going to the side who scores three goals first. A goal, of course, is when you manage to get the ball into the opposition’s goal. Draws are also possible.
Each team represents a country, making each content a clash of nations. A team’s ranking is based on their total points and decreases on a daily basis. This means if you want to stay top of the rankings you’ll need to play regularly – the pressure is always on.
Even more intriguing is the fact that artificial intelligence helps to power RoboGol. Crafted by Harvard-certified specialists, bots in the game learn from real players – helping them to grow smarter over time, blurring the line between AI and human opponents. Ever since launch bots have employed specific tactics and adapted to match a player’s level when they play games.
Developer DigiNet has taken on user feedback to improve the game moving forward too. Suggestions have helped it to improve the interface, optimize the controls, and expand customization options. There’s even additions planned for the near future, with team battles integrating Discord voice communication planned.
The developer has made sure multiplayer is balanced as well, constantly analysing game stats to create fair, exciting matches. Tank, weapon, and map parameters are all optimized to prevent one certain playstyle from dominating – ensuring a level playing field for all. Future team battles will integrate Discord voice communication for better interaction.
As mentioned, RoboGol is free to download but avoids the usual pay-to-win traps – you can find it on Google Play and it’ll come to the App Store soon!
