Dig It Solar Shovel Quest
The Solar Shovel is one of three hailing from the new Tropica Island. However, unlike its lesser tool counterparts, the Solar Shovel hides away behind a high-level requirement, price and quest.
When visiting Tropica, you’ll notice a large temple at its core with stairs leading to a cracked centre and the Sunio NPC standing in the corner. Interacting with the NPC leads to dialogue praising the Sun and a suggestion to offer the temple your Fallen Stars for a ‘Great Reward’. I’m sure you see where this is going.
Fallen Stars are only diggable during the Falling Stars Event, which happens randomly server-wide. Stars crash onto the islands at random and players have the chance to collect them before the Event concludes. In total, you’ll need 20 to gain access to the temple.
Solar Shovel Stats
When you gain access to the temple, you’ll see the Solar Shovel for sale costing a massive 500,000 D$! This is one of the most expensive Shovels as of the Tropica Update. But, for its finicky obtainment and price, you’ll gain the BEST Shovel as of the Tropica Update in return.

Alongside its favourable stats, the Solar Shovel comes preloaded with two incredible passives. This includes the chance to randomly strike your current pile with a Solar Strike, dealing 30% of your Shovel max strength. And, a 30% chance to apply the Solar (+5.0x Value) or Holy (+3.0x Value) Modifiers.
