Dig It Mutations

Mutations are a great way to earn in-game money! While they alter the appearance of an item, they also sell for more. It’s the ideal way of farming coins, which means you can purchase new shovels, larger bags, mounts, and boats.

How to Get Mutated Items

Obtaining Mutated items is mostly down to chance, but there are certain shovels you can use to increase your chances of collecting specific Mutations. Check out the Mutations list below to see what other shovels boost the likelihood of specific Mutations appearing!

Ionier Shovel

There’s a particular shovel that boosts the drop rate of a Mutation, and that is the Ioniser Shovel. If you have the Ioniser Shovel, your chances of obtaining a Mutated item increase by 30%.

This shovel costs 135K coins and you must be level 50+, however, the Ioniser Shovel event must be active. This is because the shovel only appears beneath the UFO that spawns during the event.

Loot Pit

The Loot Pit on Nookville island offers up the chance to apply a Mutation to an item for a fee. Hold the item you want to Mutate and throw it into the pit! Wait patiently for it to return, and it may have a powerful Mutation with a decent multiplier.
