Diablo IV launches on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One today, and Blizzard has confirmed that two new expansions are already in development alongside Season 2.Blizzard is already working hard on additional Diablo IV content behind the scenes, despite the fact that the game is only just about to launch on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One today. In fact, the team is working on two expansions, finishing Season 1, and starting development on Season 2, which means that Diablo IV already has more post-launch content than any other Diablo game.Blizzard working on new Diablo 4 contentWhile both Diablo II and Diablo III featured a single expansion each post-launch, Diablo IV is set to be the most supported game of the series for new content. Speaking with Kinda Funny Games, Diablo general manager Rod Fergusson has said that Diablo IV’s live-service format allows the team to expand the game’s story via Seasonal content, and that there are already two seasons in development.“As I sit here, we’re about to launch the main game, we’re finishing up season one, we’re working on season two, we’re working on expansion one, we’re kicking off expansion two — we’re working on that now, and we haven’t even launched the game,” Fergusson said.Blizzard had previously revealed that Diablo IV will feature three different Battle Pass variations with each of the Seasons, which will last around three months each. The first Season will arrive sometime in late July and will introduce narrative questlines with richer content. Are you planning on slaughtering Hellspawn today?
