Activision Blizzard has confirmed the departure of three senior Blizzard employees from the company. Diablo IV director Luis Barriga, lead designer Jesse McCree, and World of Warcraft senior designer Jonathan LeCraft have all left the developer. In a statement given to Kotaku (who first broke the news), an Activision Blizzard spokesperson said, “We can confirm Luis Barriga, Jesse McCree, and Jonathan LeCraft are no longer with the company.”We have a deep, talented roster of developers already in place, and new leaders have been assigned where appropriate. We are confident in our ability to continue progress, deliver amazing experiences to our players, and move forward to ensure a safe, productive work environment for all.”Although Activision Blizzard did not provide a reason for the departures, they come in the wake of a lawsuit filed by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing that alleges widespread sexual harassment and discrimination at the company. Late last month, hundreds of Activision Blizzard employees staged a walkout in protest of the response the company’s leadership made to the lawsuit. Last week, Blizzard president J. Allen Brack resigned from the company. Mike Ybarra and Jen Oneal were announced as new co-leaders of Blizzard after Brack’s resignation.
