THQ Nordic held its first digital showcase on Friday in celebration of the company’s tenth anniversary, which the announcement of Destroy All Humans 2 – Reprobed, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, and more.To celebrate a decade of games, THQ Nordic decided to hit players right in the soft and squishy parts with announcements of nostalgia-ridden game sequels on Friday. The showcase saw Geoff Keighley hosting, updates of two previously announced games, and six new titles premiered. From off-planet worlds too deep in the earth’s oceans, there should hopefully be something for everyone in the list below.Destroy All Humans 2 – ReprobedAfter the extremely successful launch of the Destroy All Humans reboot last year, everyone’s favourite mind-controlling butt-probing extra-terrestrial, Krypto, is returning to earth for a romp through the Sixties. Destroy All Humans 2 – Reprobed will feature improved building destruction, even wackier combat, and enhanced visuals when it launches on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC sometime in 2022.SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic ShakeSpongeBob and Patrick are off on another deep-sea adventure crafted by Battle for Bikini Bottom developer, Purple Lamp Games. This time the duo must explore new worlds in search of their missing friends when SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake launches on Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.Outcast 2 – A New BeginningAfter 22 years since Outcast first appeared the series is making a return, with Appeal Studios at the helm. The game transports players to the alien planet, Adelpha, throwing them into third-person combat in an attempt to help the species that call it home. Outcast – A New Beginning hasn’t been given a release date yet, but it’s expected to launch on Xbox Series XS, PS5, and PC.MX vs ATV LegendsSplit screen, online multiplayer, Career Mode, or Trials Mode — it looks like we’ll be getting dirty no matter what we do in pursuit of legendary status when MX vs ATV Legends launches on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC.Elex 2The showcase saw a new story trailer drop for the next adventure in the Elex universe, tasking players with freeing the people of Magalan from the growing Skyanide threat. Elex 2 is set to launch on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC soon.Jagged Alliance 3The Jagged Alliance franchise is making a return, offering players a huge cast of mercenaries to use in their quest to find the missing Grand Chein President, and restore order to the resource-rich nation. Jagged Alliance 3 will launch exclusively for PC.SuperPower 3Following 2004’s SuperPowers 2, GolemLabs is bringing the franchise back so players can create their own worlds of peace — or go for world domination… whatever floats your boat. If you enjoy management games, then this might be a title worth keeping an eye on.
