The Deliver Us Mars team has dropped the first in-depth dev diary for the game, where they explain how the sequel is “a step up from Deliver Us the Moon in every single way.”The Deliver Us the Moon devs go into detail on the sequel, Deliver Us Mars, in a new developer diary:”Deliver Us Mars centres around a team of astronauts that gets tasked to go to Mars to retrieve the technology that could revitalise the dying planet of Earth,” the devs explain. “Life on Earth is becoming extremely hard, not just for people but also species are dying out. The atmosphere is becoming worse and worse. We need to find a way to make things better.”The devs add that Deliver Us Mars tells both a personal story, with a focus on the father and daughter relationship, and a “grand, sweeping and epic drama” set against the “epic backdrop” of trying to save Earth, with input from astronauts from ESA and NASA, among other experts. The Deliver Us Mars team adds that it’s excited about the new traversal system and climbing system, along with new puzzle mechanics, that we’ll see in the sequel.In other “Deliver Us” news, Deliver Us The Moon comes to Xbox Series X|S later this month on May 19th.
