Few games released in the past decade have managed to live up to the masterpiece that is Dishonored 2. The immersive sim from Arkane Studios was the work of a team at the top of their game and it’s still as impressive as it was in 2016. And it’s just one of the many great games Arkane has made, all of which are worth playing and all of which are currently on sale on Steam.
The Arkane Studios Sale ends on Monday October 28, which still gives you the better part of a week to take advantage of its amazing deals. To put in perspective how good the sale is, the Arkane Collection Bundle is now only $55.16 or a little under the price of a modern AAA game. As the name suggests, however, this one bundle will net you the entirety of Arkane’s catalog of games, which will typically cost you $254.92. That makes it the easiest recommendation I’ve ever given.
Of course, you don’t have to buy every game that Arkane has made. Arkane’s catalog is also available a la mode so you can pick and choose exactly what you want to get on sale. Again, I think you’d be foolish not to get Dishonored 2 for six bucks, but that’s just one woman’s opinion. Other incredible titles worth picking up are the immersive sim/roguelike Deathloop and the old but still impressive Arx Fatalis, both of which also are cheap as dirt right now.
In the spirit of Halloween, you could even pick up 2023’s Redfall. This was Arkane’s attempt at a cooperative shooter that had players hunting vampires. It’s really bad! But isn’t that part of the fun of sales? Redfall might not be worth the $40 it usually goes for but now that you can sate your morbid curiosity for half the price, what’s to lose? It might lead to some fun game nights with friends. though you could always play Left 4 Dead 2 instead—it’s way better.
