During Prime Day a few weeks ago, the Pixel 9 was going for €900 for a 12/256GB unit. If you missed that deal, now you have a second chance – you can get it at just that price and this time you don’t even need a Prime subscription.
The Google Pixel 9 Pro XL is also €100 off its regular price, €124 off even for one specific color/storage combo that we’ve linked below. It’s a larger, more capable phone with a 6.8” LTPO display (vs. 6.3” non-LTPO), plus a 48MP 5x (113mm) periscope (the wide and ultra wide cameras are the same on the 9 and 9 Pro XL).
The Samsung Galaxy A55 was down to €380 during the Prime Day sales and today’s offer isn’t as good – but €400 is still a great price for this mid-ranger.
The Huawei Watch GT 4 is a beautiful watch with several distinct looks for the 41mm and 46mm versions. It’s not a huge upgrade over the GT 3 in terms of hardware, but it offers long battery life, an intuitive UI and does have some improvements.
Apple unveiled new Macs with M4 chips this week. The MacBook Air wasn’t refreshed, so you are still looking at a choice between an M2 or an M3 chip. One thing Apple did upgrade is bump the base RAM from 8GB to 16GB, without touching the price. And now retailers who have 8GB MacBook Airs are looking to clear them out of their inventory.
The 2022 MacBook Air 13.6” with an M2 chip, 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage can be purchased for €900 from Amazon. Apple.com has the 16/256GB model priced at €1,200, which is a bit much seeing how the chipset is two generations behind. It’s not slow by any means, but over €1,000 is a big ask.
The 2024 MacBook Air with an M3 chip comes in two sizes: 13.6” and 15.3”. Both have 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage and go for €1,090 for the small one and €1,250 for the large one. Prices for the 16GB variants on Apple.com are €1,300 and €1,600, respectively, so if you can live with 8GB of RAM, there are savings to be had.
One last thing – the Kindle Colorsoft went on sale this week after a short pre-order period. This is Amazon’s first Kindle with a color e-ink display – a 7” display with 300ppi pixel density for black and white content and 150ppi for color content, specifically. It’s available only as a signature edition, so you get 32GB storage, no ads, wireless charging (in addition to USB-C) and water resistance.
