Dead Space Remake developer EA Motive has been tinkering with the sound effects of weapons in the survival horror title, with the Plasma Cutter in particular being changed due to fan feedback. The studio posted a new video on the Dead Space Twitter account that reveals how the Plasma Cutter sounded in the original 2008 game developed by Visceral Games. It then offered a sound bite of how the weapon sounded in the recent livestream for the remake, before revealing an updated sound effect.EA Motive has also tweaked the sound of the Pulse Rifle too, which fans weren’t too happy with. Evidently, the studio is taking fan feedback very seriously, which is good to see. Here’s what Caden House, the studio’s community manager, had to says on the subject:When we showed you the Plasma Cutter and Pulse Rifle not everyone was sold on it, and there were a handful of criticisms that felt they could still be bette. We believe that the feedback given was definitely valid and reading the comments on what was highlighted, we made a few modifications that we think improves it.You’ll notice the Plasma Cutter frequency range has been rebalanced to focus more on the kick, as well as the lower end. Overall, this better aligns to that “feel” that so many of you mentioned with the original.Related Content – Sony PS5 Complete Guide – Everything Explained On PlayStation 5 For New UsersDead Space Remake is currently in development for the PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
