The wild west is a hazardous place, though this one has a bit more walking dead than you’d expect. So that’s what our Dead Rails zombie guide is here to talk about, each of the dangerous creatures and what you can use them for.

You can play Dead Rails now via Roblox. If you want to learn how to get started with the game, maybe try our guide on how to play Dead Rails.

Dead Rails Zombie Guide

A lot of nasty things stalk the wastes, let’s get into them all, and how to deal with them.

Regular Zombies

These are one of the most frequent enemies you’ll run into in Dead Rails. They resemble people with green faces, and will move slowly towards you can try to bite you.

Fast Zombies

Similar to Regular Zombies, but with two crucial differences. First, Fast Zombies have screaming face graphics. Second, they move a lot more quickly and are much more aggressive than Regular Zombies. If facing a group you should take out these ones first, they’ll reach you much quicker. On nights with no visible moon, these will spawn all the time.

Wolves

These fast-moving monsters appear in packs out in the wasteland. They’re pretty weak individually, but can rush you in groups and cause a bit of a problem.

Vampires

On nights when the moon is red, watch out for vampires! These humanoid enemies can teleport around, catching up with you if you run. They can even teleport onto the train but… that will often not work out too well for them.

Werewolves

These huge monsters appear under the full moon. They’ll sometimes also spawn with packs of wolves. They’re extremely durable bullet sponges and their damage is pretty devastating. Unlike vampires though, you can use the train to get away… or run one over.

Outlaws

These guys aren’t undead, but they’re still definitely dangerous. These spawn in small numbers at Outlaw Camps, or in groups in open desert. They ride horses, and come equipped with weapons that they’ll fire on players and trains. Their ranged ability makes them dangerous, but they go down in a few well-placed shots. You can even spare the horses too. Or don’t. We’re not here to judge.
