First, we’ll run over the info on the class, then explain how to get the class. Finally, we’ll give our opinion on whether it’s worth it.
About Musician
The Musician is a new class that’s support-based through and through.
How To Get Musician Class
The Musician is a normal, unrestricted class. This means you can pick it up at the Tailor in the Lobby. You’ll need 15 Bonds to buy Musician, which makes it one of the cheaper classes to pick up. Completing a run and getting the free Bonds from the Town of Sterling should give you enough to buy the class.
Is Musician Worth It?
Musician is a support class, even moreso than the Doctor is. The Doctor gets some medical supplies to start, while Muscian gets… one banjo. Not even a melee weapon! For a solo run, this is perhaps the worst option, as it’s generally worse than even having no class at all, as you’re armed only with the banjo.
Where does it work well? In Hardcore group runs. The Musician’s banjo playing lets them top up the party’s HP in between stops in a game mode where passive regen doesn’t work out. This can synergize very well with the Necromancer, who sacrifices health for undead minions.
Basically, the Musician is quite niche, but it’s very good at the niche it’s in.
