Feature image for our Dead Rails ending guide. It shows a sign in-game that reads 'Mexico 60km'. In the background is a fort with an armoured train.

All railways have to end somewhere. What awaits at the end of the tracks? That’s what we’re here to talk about in our Dead Rails ending guide. Here we explain the final challenge, and how to prep for it effectively.

Dead Rails is free to play on Roblox. If you’re just getting started, maybe check out our guide on how to play Dead Rails.

First the prep work, then the event itself.

Reaching The End

The goal of Dead Rails is to make it through the zombie-infested desert for 80km to reach the Mexican border. This means travelling through eight of the fortified checkpoints, or 80,000m on your train’s distance measure. Before you reach it, we suggest you use some money to get the following.

  • A firearm and plenty of ammunition.
  • Bulletproof defences on the sites and back of the train.
  • Razor wire around the edges.
  • Bandages for all players.

The Bridge

The important thing to know about the final fort on the border, is its no ordinary fort. The place is full of Outlaws who will immediately fire on the train when you get inside. You can’t just drive right through, either. Up ahead you’ll see a huge bridge that you’ll need to lower down. Let’s explain what you need to do.

  • At least one person needs to leave the train and trigger the bridge lowering mechanism.
  • Once it’s triggered, a countdown begins for four minutes.
  • You need to survive until the counter reaches zero. The Outlaws will attack, and more waves of zombies will charge the train. You can try to fight everything off, or hope your defences are good enough to deal with the onslaught, but someone needs to be alive at the end of the countdown.
  • Once the bridge is fully down, congratulations! You’ve succeeded in your journey and made it to safety! Or maybe just released werewolves into Mexico. Either way your name will be remembered.
