Embracer Group has announced in its latest financial report that Dead Island 2 has sold over three million copies worldwide since its launch in April 2023.The publishing giant also revealed that the zombie sequel has been played by over seven million people, which includes subscribers to Xbox Game Pass. The game was plagued by a troublesome development cycle, with multiple studios attached to the project since 2014. Yager Development was originally behind the project before being replaced by Sumo Digital in 2016, with Dmbuster Studios taking over in 2019.
