Update: Good news! Behaviour Interactive has confirmed that achievements which require the DLC characters will be updated “to be generic,” meaning they will still be unlockable after November 17th. Original story: Dead by Daylight’s Stranger Things DLC expansion will be delisted from the Microsoft Store on November 17th, discontinuing one achievement and partially discontinuing several others. Behaviour Interactive hasn’t given a reason for the content’s removal, but it’s likely down to the expiration of a licensing agreement. The Stranger Things Underground Complex Map is set to be removed from the game in its entirety, while characters such as Nancy Wheeler, Steve Harrington, and The Demogorgon will all no longer be available to purchase from the Microsoft Store or in-game store. “On November 17th, the gate to the Upside Down will close, and the Underground Complex Map will be sealed off permanently to players in Dead by Daylight,” reads a post from the Dead by Daylight team. From what we can tell, this will discontinue the So Alone achievement from the Stranger Things Title Update. The Denied! achievement will remain unaffected. Also on November 17th, The Demogorgon and the playable survivors, Nancy Wheeler and Steve Harrington, will be removed from the Microsoft Store and in-game store. This means that all achievements in the Stranger Things add-on will be partially discontinued. If you don’t purchase the Stranger Things Chapter or these characters individually before November 17th you will not be able to unlock the following achievements: Adept Nancy, Adept Steve, Savage Takedeown, and Adept Demogorgon. If you’ve already purchased any of these characters, you will be able to continue using them after they are delisted on the 17th.Naturally, this means that achievements in the Windows 10 stack of Dead by Daylight will also be affected. The good news here is that Behaviour Interactive is slashing the prices of the playable characters. Starting on August 18th and running until November 17th, you can purchase Nancy Wheeler, Steve Harrington, and The Demogorgon with a 50% discount on each character from the in-game store, or you can pick up the Stranger Things Chapter from the Microsoft Store, which will be discounted by 60%.
