The Warhammer 40:000 Darktide team has confirmed a September 13th release date for the game, which had initially been planned for spring 2022. Warhammer 40:000 Darktide had been planned to release in 2021, before being delayed to spring 2022. The devs acknowledge that this release date has changed again, saying, “The aquila-eyed amongst you will note this is later than planned. To us here at Fatshark, it’s paramount that we deliver the best 4-player co-op experience possible. That’s why we’ve decided to extend production time on Warhammer 40,000: Darktide from its previously slated spring 2022 release to September 13th, 2022.”Warhammer 40:000 Darktide is set in the hive city of Tertium, and we’re told that “In the depths of the hive, the seeds of corruption threaten an overwhelming tide of darkness. A heretical cult known as the Admonition seeks to seize control of the planet Atoma Prime and lay waste to its inhabitants. It is up to you and your allies in the Inquisition to root out the enemy before the city succumbs to Chaos.”Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will release on September 13th, 2022, for Xbox Series X|S and PC.
