Xbox fans are no doubt gearing up to finish the fight in Halo Infinite, but the Gears of War series has been going strong as of late with the absolutely badass Gears 5 and Gears Tactics. This week we pay tribute to this series with a spot-on cosplay of Gears of War’s COG Soldier.
We previously featured cosplay vet supadezz and his Ben Carmine cosplay, and he’s back again with his stunning COG Soldier cosplay.
In order to make this rendition, he collected a number of different references to make sure the Gears armor is absolutely perfect. After studying these references for a few weeks, he made his own patterns using a dremel, heat gun, and woodburner to form the armor.
The material used for the whole armor is Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate (EVA) foam from SKSProps, which was hand-painted with plaid FX metallic paints and soldered with LED lights. It took Supadezz two months and more than 300 hours in all to make sure things were absolutely perfect.
