The Georgia football schedule for the 2022 college season has officially been released.
While Georgia football fans are enjoying what looks to be an incredible 2021 season, they may not be able to help themselves and look ahead at what is in store for the Dawgs in 2022.
Without question, the most interesting part of Georgia’s 2022 season schedule is who they open up with. The Dawgs will take on Pac-12 power Oregon at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta during Labor Day weekend as part of the Chick-fil-A Kickoff. Once again, college football fans are rewarded with two of the best teams in the country playing each other early.
Here is what the rest of the Dawgs’ 2022 season schedule looks like.
2022 Georgia football schedule
- Sept. 3: vs. Oregon Ducks (Atlanta, GA)
- Sept. 10: vs. Samford Bulldogs
- Sept. 17: at South Carolina Gamecocks (Columbia, SC)
- Sept. 24: vs. Kent State Golden Flashes
- Oct. 1: at Missouri Tigers (Columbia, MO)
- Oct. 8: vs. Auburn Tigers
- Oct. 15: vs. Vanderbilt Commodores
- Oct. 22: Bye
- Oct. 29: vs. Florida Gators (Jacksonville, FL)
- Nov. 5: vs. Tennessee Volunteers
- Nov. 12: at Mississippi State Bulldogs (Starkville, MS)
- Nov. 19: at Kentucky Wildcats (Lexington, KY)
- Nov. 26: vs. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
Georgia draws Mississippi State out of the SEC West rotation. While it will be on the road in Starkville, it is one of the many winnable games on the Dawgs’ plate for 2022. Though the Oregon game will be tough, the toughest games for Georgia next season will be at Missouri on Oct. 1, at Kentucky on Nov. 19 and of course, their neutral-site affair with Florida in Jacksonville on Oct. 29.
Assuming they get past Oregon, the Dawgs have a schedule they should win around 11 games or so.
