The list of 2021 MVP Candidates is here.
The 2021 Call of Duty League season has been great. With the return to LAN, some European dominance from Toronto Ultra and multiple rookies coming through, this has been a season to remember. With it coming to a close next month, the Call of Duty League has revealed their five candidates for the prestigious 2021 MVP Award.
Astro MVP Candidates
- Chris “Simp” Lehr
- Anthony “Shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro
- McArthur “Cellium” Jovel
- Tyler “aBeZy” Pharris
- Cameron “Cammy” McKilligan
Atlanta FaZe unsurprisingly has three candidates for the MVP award this year. Simp, Cellium and aBeZy currently sit with the 1st, 4th and 6th highest overall K/D’s in the league respectively, and have without a doubt been some of the most influential players this year.
As for Cammy, he sits just outside the top 10 with the 11th highest overall K/D this season, but his ability to dominate with almost any weapon in the game has seen him be the driving force of Toronto Ultra’s success.
The final candidate is Dallas Empire’s Shotzzy. Being the only player with a positive overall K/D this season on the Empire roster, Shotzzy has recently returned to his 2020 form. However, with Empire’s limited success this year, some fans have argued that another player such as rookie, Jamie “Insight” Craven should take this last MVP spot.
The 2021 MVP will be chosen by the CDL’s team of Casters and Analysts following the Stage 5 Major.
