The choices below for the Clover Retribution Best Magic types may not match your tastes, but they’ve been working a treat in my playthroughs.
Which Clover Retribution magic type do you have? Some of the best abilities in the game are locked behind a certain grimoire. Learn more with our Clover Retribution 4-Leaf Clover grimoire guide!
Clover Retribution Best Magic
I reckon these magic types are the best in the entirety of Clover Retribution!
Void Magic (Legendary)
Void Magic is one of the best, if not the best, magic types in Clover Retribution. Every move inflicts enemies with the Gloom debuff which causes a huge explosion after reaching a stack of 5. Because of this, you can continuously keep the stacks coming with every hit.
While the damage of Void Magic is excellent, the abilities themselves look great in-game. I may be biased, as black and purple are my two favourite colours, but the animations truly feel like you’re channelling the void in your attacks.
Most of the Void Magic moves are AoE attacks, which makes it a useful magic type when battling against multiple mobs at once. There’s even a move called Void Zone, which buffs your magic damage.
World Tree (Mythic)
The passive for the World Tree magic type is what makes it stand out the most. If you don’t have a 4-Leaf Clover grimoire, you summon a shield for you and your allies every 70 seconds, which also regenerates Mana. With a 4-Leaf Clover grimoire, this reduces to 40 seconds. When said shield is broken, the seeds planted in the ground damage enemies as they walk across them.
Again, like Void Magic, the World Tree abilities focus on AoE attacks. The main difference is that it uses nature rather than the void to deal damage though. Lastly, the move you unlock with the 4-Leaf Clover grimoire grants you the ability to summon a tree that acts as an all-around buffer for your party.
Spatial Magic (Mythic)
The Spatial magic type is a bit of an odd one. You summon doors that take you to different points across the map. Another doorway teleports you to either the Alchemist’s Lab or the Library. The room you’re taken to is random the first time you cast it, and you can not change it after the fact.
The Library allows you to reset your class and spend 500 Gold to increase your Spell Mastery level. The Spatial Lab offers potions to purchase for a much lower cost than outside of the summoned realm. As well as potions, there are also materials available, and potions that are exclusive to the Lab.
It’s not all about the teleportation though! Spatial magic users get to use Spatial Barrage which attacks enemies at range with multiple projectiles.
