Chivalry 2: House Aberfell is the biggest free update to be added to the game so far, adding a new 64-player Team Objective map, playable Druids, weaponised bees, peasant kidnapping, and more.Writing about Chivalry 2 is becoming quite an interesting endeavour, due to the fact that we never quite know what Tripwire Interactive will add to the game next. For instance, while the focus of the House Aberfell update is the new Team Objective map, the fact that it also supports weaponised bees is a surprise we’re more than happy to see. The Raid on Aberfell is a large-scale 64-player Team Objective map, which is also the birthplace of King Malric of the Mason Order. As such, the Agatha Knights have decided to lay siege to it by sacking the village — which involves stealing livestock and peasants by carrying them on your shoulder — destroying the Mason Order’s obelisks, and slaying the Druids that are defending the land. The Druids are a new playable character that are available for the top-scoring players as the last line of defence for the Mason Order. Druids are armed with powerful staff melee weapons and come with a variety of helmets: Goat, Wild Pig, Deer, and Eagle. Another addition to the game, but only available on the Raid on Aberfell map, are oversized beehives, which players can pick up and throw at their enemies, causing them to be attacked by voracious bees — see, weaponised bees… sort of.The Highland Sword for the Vanguard class is also included in the update, and it comes with new animations, weapon values, special attack, and two sword skins: The Executioner and Claymore. A vast number of new cosmetics are also part of the update, including ten new face paints, Agatha Gallowglass Armor and Mason Clan Armor, weapon skins, and more. The Chivalry 2: House Aberfell update is now available for free. Will you be jumping in to feel the buzz of throwing beehives? Let us know in the comments!
