Over 420 million knights have been cut down in Chivalry 2, helped by the fact that the game has sold a million units… who threw the bread?Tripwire Presents and Torn Banner Studios are celebrating today, not just because their awesome medieval first-person hack-n’-slash game, Chivalry 2, has become Torn Banner Studios’ fastest-selling title ever, or that it has sold more than a million units worldwide. No, it’s because said title has also helped cut down 420 million battle-hardened knights throughout the eight million hours it’s been played. The majority of these warriors were slaughtered using the Messer — which comes as no surprise when you look around the battlefield to see them flailing around. The studio plans on supporting Chivalry 2 with free content updates like the recent House Galencourt update, which added new maps, 3v3 mode, customisation options, and more. “Despite just launching in June, over a million people across five platforms have already played Chivalry 2, which tells us how much more potential the game has to grow,” says Torn Banner Studios’ president, Steve Piggot. “We are so happy to have brought Chivalry 2’s unique experience of bloody, epic medieval warfare to so many people – and we’re already hard at work expanding the game much, much more.”We’re feeling the need to strap on our armour and head back onto the field of battle. Have you been one of the million people to spill blood in Chivalry 2? Let us know!
