The only thing that could improve Children of Morta is more Children of Morta — luckily, the new DLC Ancient Spirits is available now and adds a new playable character, new skins, and more. Ancient Spirits is available for $4.99/£4.19. The new playable character is called Yajouj’Majouj and has two forms, allowing them to “fluidly chang[e] battle forms together with their basic and special attacks, switching between spinning whirlwinds of Spirit Embers or the magnetic, wounding power of a quirky ally.” The devs tell us a little more of the lore behind this new character, saying, “An old legend among the people of the south tells of a forbidden love between a human and a goblin. Yajouj the human became smitten with Majouj the goblin. In the legend, Majouj is taken away by force from Yajouj’s house and thrown into an endless abyss where she eventually perishes. Unbeknownst to Yajouj, he set out to find his soulmate but got lost in the bottomless abyss and lost his life in this pursuit. That’s not the end of this legend though, ultimately, their souls need to be reunited in death. A union to surpass the abyss. The souls of the two lovers are to find a way out of there.”Along with Yajouj’Majouj comes new masks to customise each playable character, along with five relics, five charms, and five graces.
