Oceanic esports organisation Chiefs Esports Club has secured a year-long partnership with telecommunications company Aussie Broadband.

According to a release, the deal will see Chiefs Esports Club and Aussie Broadband develop ‘gamer-focused experiences, products and services.’

In a separate announcement, it was also revealed that Australian organisation Team Bliss will also be a part of the Aussie Broadband deal. Last year, Team Bliss acquired Chiefs Esports Club, however, both companies continue to operate as independent brands.

Founded in 2014, The Chiefs Esports Club primarily competes in the Rocket League scene. Most recently, the organisation competed in the RLCS 2024 Major 2 in London. Previously the team fielded a League of Legends roster in the Oceanic scene (LCO), however, its spot was acquired by FURY Global following the Team Bliss acquisition.

Aussie Broadband joins a Chiefs Esports Club commercial portfolio that includes the likes of Logitech G, Westfield and Bond University.

Brendan Harms, Chief Operating Officer of Chiefs Esports Club, commented on the deal: “A partnership with a trusted brand like Aussie Broadband makes complete sense to us at The Chiefs.

“We are committed to the continued growth of esports and gaming in Australia and Aussie Broadband shares the same sentiment. I’m personally very excited for what we can achieve together.”
