Cyberpunk 2077 was released in a broken state to at least some level no matter which platform you played it on at launch, and as is always the case in the PC community, modders are quick to get to work on adjusting, and sometimes even patching things the developers haven’t gotten to, so CD Projekt Red decided to hire some of them to help with work on the game. It’s not the most uncommon thing ever, many modders use their working modding different games almost as a portfolio at times to find a way into game development, but it also happens were developers will recruit those they identify within their community as people who really know the game, and could help bring fresh eyes to the issues they’re trying to solve. The news comes from website IGN who reports the hires, four in total, as the announcement was made through a Discord server. They’ll be working specifically on modding support and on projects related to the backend of Cyberpunk 2077, according to their announcement.Source – [IGN]
