CD Projekt Is Not For Sale, Insists Company President

Speaking during an interview with Rzeczpospolita, CD Projekt boss Adam Kicinski has brushed aside the notion that the company may be sold, insisting it isn’t looking at acquisition talks .We have been saying for years that we plan to remain independent and do not plan to become part of a larger entity. We are also not looking for a strategic investor.Furthermore, when asked if CDP could be subject to hostile takeover by another company purchasing shares, Kicinski revealed that there are measures in place to stop this.There are provisions that significantly hinder hostile takeovers.Related Content – Sony PS5 Complete Guide – A Total Resource On PlayStation 5Back in January, DFC Intelligence reported that CDP could find itself as “one to watch” in terms of possible acquisitions, due to the precarious situation it found itself in following the disastrous launch of Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 and Xbox One in December 2020.In the same interview, Kicinski said he believes Cyberpunk 2077 ‘will be considered a very good game in the long run,’ primarily due to brand awareness.[Source – VGC]
