It’s time for part 2 of our review of the carriest at The International 12 and everything they offer.

When talking about carries in Dota 2, a lot of people agree that this is the most important position in the game. Even though the early game is never that interesting, carries have to make the difference later on. That’s the reason why many of the top-tier carry players are often the star of the show for their teams.

Speaking of this position, in part 1 of our overview, we’ve reviewed some of the most interesting names in professional Dota 2. However, there are 20 teams in total that will be a part of The International 12, so there are several other big names that deserve some attention. Let’s dive in and learn more about them and what they have to offer.

Artour “Arteezy” Babaev – Shopify Rebellion

Arteezy Not A Fan Of Europe Servers: Fact Or Satire?

We are starting part of the top carries at The International 12 with a bang because the first name we have to talk about is Arteezy. He is probably the most well-known name in professional Dota 2 because he’s been among the best for many years. In fact, he is one of the first nicknames that Dota 2 fans learn when they start getting into professional players.

There is no arguing that Arteezy can be considered a living legend at this point because he’s been active for more than 10 years in professional Dota 2. Even though he has never won TI, RTZ played for the best teams in the world, such as Evil Geniuses and Team Secret. He made several changes and swaps between them over the years, but he’s been a part of EG’s roster (now called Shopify Rebellion) since 2016.

Arteezy can be a carry and a midder, depending on the situation. He’s good with pretty much any farming hero, but there are definitely a couple of big options that stand out, such as:

Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon – Talon Esports

Pro Dota 2 player Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon plays a professional match at a PC with his Fnatic apparel on.

Talon Esports is one of the underdogs at The International 12, but this doesn’t mean the squad’s players are not worth it. In addition to the team’s midder, one of the top carries at The International 12 has to be 23savage because the SEA powerhouse has been dominating the professional scene for years now.

Despite being 21 years old, 23savage played for a lot of big teams in his career. The list consists of the likes of Fnatic, T1, Vici Gaming, and Talon Esports. He’s been a part of Talon since 2022 and quickly established himself as the top carry player in the region.

A very interesting thing about 23savage is that he became the first player to reach 12K MMR and the first one to go to 13K MMR. He also second to reach 11K, which is really impressive.

23savage can play a wide range of heroes, which is one of the reasons why people consider him one of the best carries at The International 12. With that said, these are the options he’s most comfortable with:

David “Parker” Nicho Flores – beastcoast

South America has a few big carry players, and Parker is among them. What’s interesting about him is that he is very new to the professional scene. In fact, the player started his career in 2021 when he played for Inverse. After that, he was a part of several other squads, such as Infinity, SG esports, Infamous, and beastcoast. He became a part of the latter in June, which means that The International 12 will be the first big challenge for the young talent.

Although Parker hasn’t been a part of the professional scene for that long, he can go head-to-head with the best in the world. Therefore, it will be very interesting to follow his performance while playing at the biggest tournament in the world.

Illya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk – Team Spirit

Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk tests his mic ahead of a series at TI 10

There aren’t that many players that have won The International before, which is one of the reasons why Yatoro is special. The 20-year-old player from Ukraine is often regarded as one of the best in the world and the leader in Eastern Europe. He has been one of the most dominant core players, so it’s no surprise many people consider him as one of the top carries at The International 12.

Although Team Spirit’s results have not been that impressive, the squad won the biggest tournament of the year so far. This means that it has the chance to lift the Aegis for the second time and join the likes of OG who are the only team to win TI 2 times in a row.

Yatoro is a player who is known for being able to play multiple heroes at an extremely high level. In fact, he played more than 14 heroes over 20 games at The International 10, w hich is a record. With that said, there are a few heroes he’s really good at, such as:

Enzo “Timado” Gianoli – TSM

Timado

Even though Timado is from South America and defended a couple of teams from the region, he decided to move to North America. At the time of writing this article, the 22-year-old carry plays for TSM, and a lot of people consider him to be the best player the squad has to offer.

Considering he started playing Dota 2 when he was 13, it’s no surprise that Timado is one of the best players in the world. The Peruvian star has reached 11,000 MMR and is the first player from South America to reach the final of a Valve major tournament. Sadly, TSM wasn’t able to defeat OG to win the trophy.

In terms of the heroes he’s known for, Timado used to be a midder, so he can play pretty much anything. However, there are a few heroes that make him one of the best carries at The International 12, such as:
