Capcom teases upcoming announcement with mysterious countdown timer

A mysterious new countdown timer has gone live over on Capcom’s website that’s counting down to a reveal later this week. The countdown will end on Sunday, February 20th at 10pm PT/1am ET/6am GMT (February 21st). As far as we can tell, Capcom hasn’t said anything about what this timer is counting down to, but it will coincide with the Street Fighter Pro Tour Season Final (thanks, Eurogamer). The timing of this could be a coincidence, though many have already begun speculating that Capcom could be getting ready to reveal a new entry into the Street Fighter series. Capcom is also celebrating the 35th anniversary of Street Fighter this year, so it would make sense to announce something Street Fighter-related. Others think it could be something to do with the previously-announced Resident Evil Village DLC, its delayed multiplayer, or the rumoured Resident Evil 4 remake. However, Capcom has now teased that something Resident Evil-related will be happening tomorrow, so maybe the countdown timer doesn’t have anything to do with Resident Evil?Once we find out more about the Resident Evil tease and the countdown timer, we’ll update you.
