The Capcom Showcase has arrived and it revealed a ton of new details for games previously announced. While there weren’t any new game announcements, we did finally learn about the long-awaited Resident Evil Village story DLC ‘Shadows of Rose,’ we saw gameplay of Resident Evil 4 Remake, and we were treated to new looks of Exoprimal and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.Oh, and we found out we will soon be able to play as Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village’s Mercenaries mode!There was even more revealed during the show’s 30-minute runtime, and this roundup will gather each announcement and trailer in one place to ensure you don’t miss a thing.Resident Evil 4 Remake Gets New Gameplay Trailer, Appears To Confirm Major New AdditionResident Evil 4 Remake received a few more seconds of gameplay at the Capcom Showcase and it also may have revealed a major new addition to this updated version – the ability for Leon Kennedy to move while aiming his gun. We were also told the game will feature “modern flourishes” and that the ganado have been completely redesigned.Resident Evil Village Winters’ Expansion Includes Shadows of Rose Story DLCCapcom has finally revealed Shadows of Rose – Resident Evil Village’s long-awaited story DLC. The new story will follow Ethan Winter’s daughter Rose and will serve as a sequel of sorts to the main campaign. Unlike the main game, Shadows of Rose will take place from a third-person perspective and will see Rose entering the “consciousness of the Megamycete,” a place where “time and space are warped beyond recognition.”The Shadows of Rose story DLC will be released on October 28, 2022, as part of the Winters’ Expansion DLC.Resident Evil Village’s Mercenaries Mode Will Soon Let You Play as Lady DimitrescuResident Evil Village’s Winters’ Expansion will also add The Mercenaries: Additional Orders which, among other things, will let players finally play as Lady Alcina Dimitrescu. Chris Redfield and Karl Heisenberg will also be joining Mercenaries and each will play in their own unique way. I mean, Lady Dimitrescu is over nine-feet tall, so I guess that makes sense!The Mercenaries: Additional Orders will be released on October 28, 2022, as part of the Winters’ Expansion DLC.Resident Evil Village Is Getting a Third-Person ModeResident Evil Village is currently only playable in first-person mode, but that will all change later this year when a new third-person mode will be added as part of the Winters’ Expansion. This new way to play Resident Evil Village will let players see the game from a whole new perspective, complete with new animations and more.Resident Evil Village’s third-person mode will be released on October 28, 2022, as part of the WInters’ Expansion DLC.Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake, and Resident Evil 7 Free Next-Gen Upgrades Are Available NowResident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake, and Resident Evil 7 will all be getting free next-gen upgrades for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S today, June 13. These updates will add support for 4K, high frame rate, ray tracing, and 3D audio.Resident Evil Re:Verse Will Officially Launch This OctoberResident Evil Re:Verse, the multiplayer game originally set to launch alongside Resident Evil Village, will officially launch on October 28, 2022. Re:Verse is a six-player PvP deathmatch game that puts players in the shoes of characters from across the Resident Evil series. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Expansion Gets Multiple New Details, and a DemoMonster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is a “massive” expansion to the Switch and PC-exclusive Monster Hunter Rise and a new trailer at Capcom Showcase revealed more details and that it will be getting a demo on June 14, which is tomorrow!The trailer also shared some of the maps and monsters fans can expect, and they include returning monsters Daimyo Hermitaur, Espinas, Gore Magala, and the Pyre Rakna Kadaki (new form). The Jungle map from Monster Hunter 2 will also be available and it is being enhanced to match Rise’s more open areas.Lucent Naragacuga was also announced to be joining Sunbreak in August as part of a Free Title Update 1. More free updates will arrive in Fall, Winter, and next year.Sunbreak will be released on June 30, 2022.Exoprimal Gets a Gameplay Trailer, Closed Network Test Coming Ahead of ReleaseExoprimal, Capcom’s upcoming co-op dinosaur murder action game, has received a new gameplay trailer and the promise of a closed network test before its launch in 2023. The trailer gave a tease of the PvPvE game’s story, gameplay, and some of the dinosaurs players will need to battle against.Some of Exoprimal’s activities were also shown, including Dinosaur Cull, VTOL Defense, Data Key Security, Energy Taker, and Omega Charge. Exoprimal will be released in 2023 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.Street Fighter 6 to Get at Least One More Announcement in 2022While we didn’t learn anything new about Street Fighter 6, it was revealed that we will be getting more details of the next entry in the legendary fighting franchise before the end of the year.Dragon’s Dogma 10th Anniversary Event Teased, but No Sequel AnnouncementWhile many were hoping for a Dragon’s Dogma 2 announcement at this Capcom Showcase, we were only promised that a Dragon’s Dogma 10th Anniversary Event will take place on Thursday, June 16.
