Speaking during an interview with IGN, the development team behind Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster has revealed that Capcom is keen to resurrect a number of its IPs, with Dead Rising among them.When asked if Capcom would consider remastering another Dead Rising game or perhaps even work on a brand new entry, the team responded:Capcom would like to continue to bring back many of its IPs. In hopes of expanding upon the Dead Rising series in the future, we’d first like to put effort into promoting Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster and share its appeal with fans around the world.Related Content — Upcoming PS5 Games 2024: The Best PS5 Game Coming Soon Dead Rising launched for the Xbox 360 back in 2006, and this remaster offers a number of enhancements over the original release, including improved character models, which have been greatly spruced up thanks to new motion capture techniques. A lot of people have noted it looks more like a remake than a remaster, and that’s pretty fair to be honest.For those who didn’t play Dead Rising back in the day, the game follows Frank West, a photojournalist, who gets caught up in a zombie outbreak in a shopping mall in the fictional Colorado town of Willamette. The game features multiple endings and a 72-hour time limit, where you must finish the main story within that limit to uncover the source of the undead pandemic.Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is out on September 19, 2024 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.[Source – IGN]
