IGN can exclusively reveal a new mini-documentary from Camouflaj, delving behind the scenes into the development of the 2013 stealth-adventure game République.The documentary includes stories and testimonies from developers at Camouflaj about the years leading up to République’s release, focusing on their struggles in their small Bellevue-based studio space. It then details the initial launch of République’s first episode, subsequent episodic releases, the numerous challenges of mo-cap work and fixing bugs, and the success that ultimately sparked future re-releases and the remaster.Camouflaj’s documentary today coincides with the release of République: Anniversary Edition on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PSVR – almost nine years after the initial iOS launch.
