UK esports organisation Bulldog Esports has announced a return to the industry after an extended hiatus from competition.
With the company’s return, it has acquired a spot in the Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC) from Irish esports organisation Nativz.

Bulldog Esports was acquired by X7 Esports in 2021 with Bulldog’s Founder, Antony Newton, joining the X7 staff as the company’s new Director of Esports.
However, X7 shut-down in 2022 with many of its former staff banding together in early 2023 to create a new organisation called Fourth Wall Esports Club, including Newton.
Esports News UK has reported that Fourth Wall will also be closing down as part of the changes, though the team has yet to confirm this itself.
In a video released by Bulldog Esports, Newton highlighted that seeing his own brand that he had founded years ago sitting dormant didn’t feel right and he has revived the business with new co-owners.
These new co-owners are ‘NAWI‘, who is currently listed as Chief Commercial Officer, and ‘Jolly’ who will step into the role of Chief Operating Officer.
With Bulldog returning to the NLC, Irish organisation Nativz has announced its departure from the competition. According to the company, it is looking to rebuild from the ground-up and focus on its grassroots scene through its Ireland Esports Collegiate Series.
Bulldog Esports will compete in NLC 1st Division Spring 2025 as of January next year, but has yet to announce a roster and any plans for other esports.
