The Milwaukee Bucks find themselves down 2-0 in the NBA Finals as they get set to host the Phoenix Suns for Game 3. Here’s all the info you need to watch the game online.
Imagine scoring 42 points on 15-of-22 shooting in the second NBA Finals game of your career and losing. That’s what happened to Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo on Thursday night. The two-time NBA MVP had a near-flawless night, complete with 12 boards and 3 blocks, but it wasn’t enough to stop the red-hot Phoenix Suns, who now lead the series 2-0.
Through two Finals games, the Bucks are a plus-4 in Giannis’ 75 minutes on the court. Without him, they’re minus-27 in the 21 minutes he’s taken a rest. Thus far, the Suns’ depth and superior ball movement has been the difference. Short of having Giannis play the full 48 minutes — on a recently injured knee, no less — Milwaukee needs its secondary stars to step up if the Bucks want to keep pace with Devin Booker, Chris Paul and company.
Game 3 will be crucial for the Bucks if they want a fighting chance at winning their first NBA title since 1971. Expect a bounce-back game for Khris Middleton, who could hardly buy a shot in Game 2.
For Phoenix, it’s all eyes on the prize. Even with a 2-0 lead, the Suns cannot afford to let off the gas pedal. A victory in Game 3 would all but hand the Suns the Larry O’Brien trophy for the first time in franchise history.
