Former WWE superstar Bray Wyatt sent out cryptic tweets, leading fans to speculate whether it is in regards to a return to the ring.
Wrestling fans have watched and saw stars who were released by WWE join new promotions. One name that was released by the company in the past year and has yet to reemerge in the squared circle is Bray Wyatt.
On Tuesday, May 31, Wyatt, real name Windham Rotunda, sent out a series of cryptic tweets that may be related to a potential return to the ring. One of those tweets reads “patience. It’s almost time.”
Bray Wyatt teasing a return to the ring?
Fans are going to be keeping their eyes peeled on All Elite Wrestling and Impact Wrestling programming to see if Wyatt shows up.
Wyatt was one of WWE’s most popular wrestlers due in part to his creativity with his on-screen character. After previously spending time on the main roster as Husky Harris, he re-debuted as “the Eater of Worlds,” in 2013. He entered high-profile feuds against John Cena and the Undertaker and even entered WrestleMania 33 in 2017 as the WWE Champion.
In the summer of 2019, he debuted yet another character in “The Fiend,” a masked horror movie-style villain, and it was just as popular with the fans. He won the Universal Championship twice during his time.
His final match with WWE occurred at Night Two of WrestleMania 37 in 2021, where he lost in the opener to Randy Orton. On July 31, he was released by WWE.
Whether Wyatt returns to the ring for another promotion remains to be seen. But, he certainly has caught the attention of wrestling fans if that is what he was truly teasing.
