The Brawl Stars World Finals 2024, hosted at the inaugural edition of multi-title esports event SuperFest, reached a peak viewership of just under 1.1m.

This makes the tournament the most-viewed Brawl Stars esports event of all time by a significant margin, according to esports data platform Esports Charts.

The Supercell-ran event took place at the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Center in Finland alongside the Clash of Clans World Championship Finals 2024 and the Clash Royale League 2024: World Finals.

Last year’s World Finals, which was previously organised by ESL, had a peak viewership of 273,194 and an average of 164,232 viewers. Alongside this year’s high peak viewership, the 2024 Brawl Stars World Finals also recorded an average viewership of 636,059 according to esports data platform Esports Charts.

The previous peak viewership record for Brawl Stars occurred at the 2022 World Finals, which garnered 395,000 viewers.

The event was won by Italian esports organisation HMBLE, which took down Japanese esports organisation Crazy Raccoon in the Grand Final to win 40% of its $1m (~£770,000) prize pool. Despite losing out on the World Championship, Crazy Raccoon were the fan favourites at the event amassing the most hours watched across the event with 3.2m. HMBLE came in second in that department with 2.1m hours watched whilst Semi-Finalists SK Gaming came in third with 2m.

English language streams garnered the most eyes in terms of peak viewership with a peak of 456,450 whilst Spanish-speaking streams had the second highest peak with 320,854. The other language streams that pulled significant numbers were French (84,566), Italian (80,282) and Russian (48,924).

In terms of the broadcasting platforms that the event was streamed on it was a pretty one-sided battle with Twitch hosting the lions-share of watchers (905,330 peak viewers). YouTube (259,614), TikTok Live (35,405) and Kick (679) brought in the rest.

Two other esports events also occurred at SuperFest. The Clash Royale League 2024 World Finals had a peak viewership of 141,777 (eighth highest Clash Royale esports viewership). Esports Charts has yet to reveal viewership figures for the Clash of Clans World Championship 2024.
