Boomer shooter fans, rejoice; The Astronauts’ dark fantasy first-person shooter Witchfire will make its way to Steam Early Access this year.
Created by the creative leads behind Painkiller and Bulletstorm, Witchfire provides a unique blend of Soulslike, extraction, and roguelite gameplay.
Along the way, players will be able to explore vast, immersive biomes and select their battleground to confront the Witch’s forces.
As players complete each encounter, they’ll be able to strengthen both themselves and their arsenal through its Arcana roguelike system.
All those interested in picking up Witchfire can do so via the official Steam page for the title.
Adrian Chmielarz, co-founder and creative director of The Astronauts, said the following:
“Thank you to our early adopters! To all of you who have participated in our Early Access so far: Thank you very much for your help in getting us to this point. Your feedback in our official Discord and beyond has been vital!”
Note that Witchfire is currently available in Early Access via the Epic Games store. A recent patch for the game, dubbed “The Wailing Tower,” brings with it elements of cosmic horror to Witchfire, along with the first new raid map since release.
Fans can keep updated on all things Witchfire by following the development team via Facebook, X/Twitter, and Discord.
