Like its predecessor, Blasphemous 2 also has multiple endings that players can achieve based on what they do throughout their adventure. For this reason, in this article, we have decided to explain to you how to get the different Blasphemous 2 endings which, unlike the first chapter, are only two and which are accessible from the same save file. Below we explain in detail how to do it.
Blasphemous 2 default ending (ending B)
The B ending is almost certainly the one you will get after playing Blasphemous 2 for the first time and is therefore considered the default ending for the game. For this reason, getting this ending will not require any kind of step or complex requirements to meet. Also, as previously mentioned, both endings can be obtained using the same save file so if you get ending B you can still get ending A, all you have to do is reload the save which will place you exactly before the final boss of the game.
Below, here are all the steps to follow to obtain the ending B:
- Defeat Faceless One, Chisel of Oblivion (Tutorial Boss/Repose of the Silent One Dungeon)
- Defeat Lesmes, Incorrupt Sacristan (Crown of Towers Dungeon)
- Defeat Great Preceptor Radamés (Sacred Entombments Dungeon)
- Defeat Afilaor, Sentinel of the Emery (Beneath Her Sacred Grounds Dungeon)
- Defeat Orospina, Lady Embroiderer (Palace of the Embroideries Dungeon)
- Defeat Benedicta of the Endless Orison (Basilica of Absent Faces Dungeon)
- Defeat Odón of the Confraternity of Salt (Sunken Cathedral Dungeon)
- Defeat Sínodo, Hymn of the Thousand Voices (The Severed Tower Dungeon)
- Defeat Svsona, Fermosa Fembra (Two Moons Dungeon)
- Defeat Eviterno, First of the Penitents (Crimson Rains Dungeon)
- Defeat Incarnate Devotion
- Defeat Eviterno
- Interact with Eviterno’s corpse
- Select “Yes” when asked if you “Want To Ascend?”
- If you have the Incense of the Envoys Key Item, select “Deny” when asked if you want to offer it up before the fight.
As you could have guessed, getting the B ending is a very linear operation and is linked to the fact of defeating all the bosses in the game, which in any case is mandatory to do. As a result, you won’t have to worry much about getting this ending, as it will come simply by playing once you get to the end credits.
Blasphemous 2 secret ending (ending A)
To get the A ending, however, you will have to complete different types of tasks which can take you away a lot of time and which can also be frustrating in some situations. To get this ending, you’ll need to complete all the dungeons in the game, which we recommend you do while you’re trying to get ending B, in order to have all the bosses defeated and the various areas unlocked. Next, you’ll need to acquire four unique Altarpieces of Favor which can be found in different areas of the game.
- Cierzo (Found in a Chest in The Severed Tower after taking the Forgotten Tribune chariot from the Choir of Thorns)
- Jaloque (Can be purchased from the Traveling Merchant for 6,000 Tears of Atonement in the Crimson Rains)
- Lebeche (Rewarded to you for completing The House of Grief and Hatred side quest)
- Gregal (Found in a Chest at the top of the Garden of the High Choirs after finding all 33 of Próximo’s Brothers)
Once you have all four Altarpieces of Favor in your possession, you will need to place them in specific slots. You’ll know you’ve placed them in the right position when they turn gold, indicating you’re ready to move on to the next step.
- Cierzo: Top left quadrant
- Gregal: Top right quadrant
- Lebeche: Bottom left quadrant
- Jaloque: Bottom right quadrant
Once your Altarpieces of Favor are equipped correctly and have turned to gold, it’s time to travel to the Chapel of the Five Doves and head up to the room, where there used to be a locked door. Now, that door can be opened and all you have to do is enter the room and stand in front of the bazier that is in the center. Interact with it and you will thus obtain the Incense of the Envoys Key which will allow you to take the last step before you can unlock the Blasphemous 2 secret ending.
What you will have to do now is go to the Crimson Rains and go to the arena where you defeated the Eternal boss. In case you haven’t already, now is the time to do it. After that, interact with his body and select exactly these lines of dialogue:
- “Are you sure you want to ascend?” – “Yes”
- “Do you want to give incense of the envoys?” – “Agree”
Once you have given the Incense of the Envoys, you will have to fight the boss Incarnate Devotion. The boss fight will be identical to the one you did to get the B ending, the thing that will change, however, will be the cutscene you see once you defeat the boss. By doing so, you will have finished the game and obtained the A ending. If you have not yet obtained the B ending, you can reload your save and answer “Deny” when asked to donate the Incense of the Envoys.
