Embracer Group, the parent company to Biomutant publisher THQ Nordic, has confirmed that the game has sold over a million units, and recouped its costs within the first week after launch. Over in an Embracer Group financial report (thanks, Eurogamer) the company confirms that Biomutant has so far sold over a million copies, and adds that “the full investment into development and marketing as well as the acquisition cost for Experiment 101 and the IP, was recouped within a week after launch.” Biomutant launched back in May to mixed reviews — we gave it a 3.5/5 in our Biomutant review, if you’re looking for more info — but according to Embracer Group, the game still had a very successful first week.
