While Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still… well, beyond our grasp, it seems we might be able to start playing a remake of the original game soon. An Xbox Store listing was recently published for Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, and while the listing has since been removed, some details about the mysterious game were revealed, including its achievement list. It doesn’t look like the store listing was live for long, but players with a Ubisoft+ subscription, like Cheevo Guides on X, seem to have been able to download and play Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition for a brief time. Aside from an ESRB rating earlier this year, there hasn’t been any mention of the 20th Anniversary Edition before, but with The Game Awards being just around the corner, we do wonder if a shadow drop is on the cards.Microsoft was quick to remove the store page, but some players managed to gather up some details about the upcoming remake. As shared by Idle Sloth on X, Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition will offer improved graphics over the original and Beyond Good & Evil HD, including up to 4K visuals and frame rates of 60fps. On top of that, the game’s audio and controls have been improved, and with the inclusion of Xbox’s Smart Delivery feature, you’ll be able to play the 20th Anniversary Edition on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One with one purchase. One standout feature spotted in the listing, however, is the introduction of autosave — something the original adventure game was sorely lacking — and with cross-save, you’ll be free to switch consoles without losing your place. It looks like we’ll have a padded-out list of Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition achievements to work through, with this list offering up 34 achievements instead of the 12 Beyond Good & Evil HD achievements that were included in the Xbox 360 remaster. We’ll have to wait and see if Beyond Good & Evil – 20th Anniversary Edition makes an appearance during The Game Awards next week — any word on the long-overdue Beyond Good & Evil 2 wouldn’t go amiss, either!
